I'm officially engaged!

We both cried like babies. It was so awesome. He included the girls on it and asked for their "advice". They had to keep the secret for a whole half an hour!
So, the date is set for 07/07/07!
I am SO happy! |

Hi everyone!
My sweet, sweet little boy was born on Friday March 10th at 6:50pm. He was 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. He has a full head of black hair and is the sweetest thing ever. He was born with his right hand by his head.
My induction got pushed back because so many woman were going into labor. I guess it was a good week to deliver a baby! Ryan is in heaven. :)
Here are a few pics

| This time, it's for real: Save NPR and PBS |
[Jun. 20th, 2005|11:50 am] |
Hi,
You know that email petition that keeps circulating about how Congress is slashing funding for NPR and PBS? Well, now it's actually true. (Really. Check at the bottom if you don't believe me.)
Sign the petition telling Congress to save NPR and PBS:
http://www.moveon.org/publicbroadcasting/
A House committee has voted to slash half of the federal funding for NPR and PBS, starting with "Sesame Street," "Reading Rainbow," and other commercial-free children's shows. If approved, this would be the most severe cut in the history of public broadcasting, threatening to pull the plug on Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and Oscar the Grouch.
The cuts would eliminate more than $200 million for NPR, PBS and local stations immediately, with more cuts likely in the future. The loss could kill beloved children's shows like "Clifford the Big Red Dog," "Arthur," and "Postcards from Buster." Rural stations and those serving low-income communities might not survive. Other stations would have to increase corporate sponsorships.
The House will vote on the cuts as soon as Tuesday. Can you help us reach 1 million signatures calling on Congress to save NPR and PBS?
http://www.moveon.org/publicbroadcasting/
Thanks!
P.S. Read the New York Times story on the threat to NPR and PBS at:

People with the nickname "Pro" aren't necessarily professional.
I think FBJ wants to throw down. Bring it.
37 year-olds are better off with a shadow. Not worth my time.
I suspect the ugly dog collar went out with the rest of the trash.
BM isn't so bad after all. He may even have a heart.
L drives in the nude and likes brown sugar.
What goes around comes around. Karma, baby.
And before I get any anonymous e-mail's (which by the way, aren't so anonymous-dumb ass), I just have one last thing to say; Save the drama for yo' mama. Heh. |

| Blast from the past |

| | tired | ] | Wow. It's been a crazy couple of days. J and I met R and my ex-boyfriend T for a few drinks the other night. S was nearby, so I stopped to say hi to him, too.
We had a blast reminiscing with T. We talked about our old friend PS, who T had known first from work. PS was crazy and a blast to hang out with. He was always dancing up on the stage and drawing attention to himself. The last time I saw him was in 1999.
We also talked about me cooking all the time for J and T (when J and I used to live together). Man, I used to whip up some good stuff. After we left, we went out to eat and they both joked that I should go back in the kitchen and make one of my famous breakfasts.
T and J:

The owner of a couple of the clubs we used to frequent, recently opened a new club called Valentino's. We decided to go check it out. The place is beautiful. It used to be a hotel, so it's very big inside.
We ran into a few people from our old crew, including the DJ. T was incredible! We had no idea that he was DJ'ing now:?

The music was amazing, so we decided to go out and dance for awhile. We're out there for maybe 5 minutes when I look up on the platform and think to myself, why does this guy look so damn familiar?
Me: Uh, is that PS?
Jess: Why, yes. Yes, it is.
Me and PS:?

| | This Love (Sampler 16)-Maroon 5 | ] | Happy New Year! I am so done with 2004. All things considered, it was a pretty shitty year, so I am super happy that 2005 is here.
No New Years resolutions for me. I find them a bit silly. I make resolutions all year long. I'm always trying to be a better mom/daughter/sister/friend/lover.
I learned a lot this year. About myself, about others and about life in general. The best thing I learned is that it feels good to be loved and feels wonderful to love someone else-unconditionally.
Although 2004 wasn't great, I do have a lot of fun memories (or at least 12):
